Why Does the Bookstore at Barrak Obama's Church Sell NOI Books?

There's alot of hype going around about the Obama's Chicago church. From what I've read he started attending this church right out of college and has been a devout member for the last 20 or so years. Trinity United Church of Christ sounds like any other church, from the name it sounds pretty normal to me. The senior pastor of the Church Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr. has said some pretty outrageous things in the past, here are a few pearls of his wisdom:

On the Sunday after the terrorist attacks of 9/11, Mr. Wright said the attacks were a consequence of violent American policies. Four years later he wrote that the attacks had proved that “people of color had not gone away, faded into the woodwork or just ‘disappeared’ as the Great White West went on its merry way of ignoring Black concerns.”

"The Israelis have illegally occupied Palestinian territories for over 40 years now. Divestment has now hit the table again as a strategy to wake the business community and wake up Americans concerning the injustice and the racism under which the Palestinians have lived because of Zionism."

A book written by Na'im Akbar. You say who is Mr. Akbar? Only a card carrying member of the Nation of Islam. Yes, that Nation of Islam, the same people that believe that "White people" were created by a mad scientist named Yakub. Don't believe me? Sounds crazy, like crazy in a racist kinda wacko way.

According to the Nation of Islam (NOI), Yakub (also spelled Yacub or Yakob), was an evil scientist responsible for creating the white race — a race of devils, in their view. Yakub created white people by a process of grafting the "black germ" to a "white germ" from the original black population of the world. It took 600 years for Yakub and his successors to fully whiten his creations. This was achieved under a despotic regime on the island of Patmos.The reasons for Yakub's actions are unclear. According to NOI doctrine, his progeny were destined to rule for 6,000 years before the original black peoples of the world regained dominance, a process that began in 1914.

So let me get this straight. You guys want me to vote for a guy that has been going to a church that is in cahoots with the NOI and sells their racists books at it's book store? Think again chumps, Yakub didn't create no dummy.

Cops Link Black Muslim Group to Editor's Murder

OAKLAND, Calif. — Police are testing guns recovered from raids in which authorities arrested seven members of an Oakland Black Muslim splinter group who investigators suspect were involved in the killing of a journalist and two others.

And straight from the "R.O.P." playbook, we get this quote from Shamir Yusuf Bey:

"This is not a reflection of Dr. Yusuf Bey," said Shamir Yusuf Bey in a sidewalk news conference in front of the bakery. The organization's members all take the founder's surname. "We are all sons of Dr. Yusuf Bey. He has taught us morals, he has taught us how to be advocates in our community."

Your Black Muslim Bakery

Newspaper Editor Chauncey Bailey was shot and killed by a masked man in Oakland. It seems he was doing a sotry on a Muslim run bakery called Your Black Muslim Bakery.

OAKLAND -- Heavily armed police officers using flash grenades stormed the Your Black Muslim Bakery early Friday, detaining as many as 19 people -- including the organization's leader Yusuf Bey IV -- and seizing a small armory of weapons including shotguns and ammunition for assault weapons.

It was not immediately known if the raids -- at the bakery and three other Oakland homes -- were related to the sidewalk assassination of Oakland reporter Chauncey Bailey. Sources say he was doing an investigative piece on the troubled splinter group not associated with the Black Muslims.

Bey was arrested without incident in his Oakland home and a search of the house turned up at least two guns in plain view in a bedroom. Everyone else in the home at the time was detained.

Oakland Deputy Police Chief Howard Jordan would not comment if the raids connection to Bailey's slaying.

"These raids were (launched) to seek evidence in several violent felonies including murder, robbery and kidnapping," Jordan said.

Sources have confirmed to KTVU that the raids were in connection to three murders in the last six weeks in Oakland including Bailey's murder.

Bailey, editor of the Oakland Post and a longtime reporter for the Oakland Tribune, had written stories about the bakery. KCBS-AM reported Friday that Bailey had been researching a new investigative piece about Your Black Muslim Bakery.

After looking through the website for You Black Muslim Bakery I found a few interesting things. The first, the Bakery is affiliated with the Nation Of Islam. Here's some screen shots of a school run by the Owner of the bakery, Yusuf Bey. Click image vor large versions.

One high-profile default involves a $1 million loan awarded in 1996 to Qiyamah Corp. and Nedir Bey to start a home health care company called E.M. Health Services. The loan was basically unsecured, and a judgment was obtained against the company for $1.55 million, although the city has been unable to collect.

Nedir Bey stood up and walked toward Onipede. According to the victim's testimony, Bey pulled the gun from his holster and jammed the barrel into Onipede's neck. Abaz Bey and Basheer Muhammad allegedly pulled Onipede off the chair and dragged him into the bathroom. "Do you know how to swim?" Abaz Bey joked. Onipede claimed that as he got to his knees, Bey and Muhammad tried to shove his head inside the toilet. Onipede fought back, fell to the side, and begged them to stop, but the three men started beating him. Onipede said he lost all sense of time. All he remembered was the pain.

According to Onipede's testimony, he and the three men walked back into the living room. As Onipede crawled back on the chair, Muhammad lost control. Shouting "Now I'll finish the job!" he grabbed the flashlight and worked up a frenzy, beating Onipede terribly. It got so bad that Chin allegedly spoke up. Don't break any of his bones, he warned.

Finally, Onipede testified, Muhammad let up, and it was time for Nedir to step in. Handing Onipede a piece of paper, he allegedly made him write and sign a statement affirming that he cheated Larry Chin out of money. When he finished, Muhammad allegedly ordered Olen Grant to hit his own business partner. "Please," Grant answered, "do not make me do this." A fourth man allegedly swung at Grant, dropping him to the floor. Hit him, they ordered. This time, Grant obeyed.

All was still for a moment, as Nedir Bey and his colleagues conferred in the back of the room. According to Onipede's story, Bey returned and announced that they were all leaving now. Onipede would show them where his money was. Abaz Bey walked in allegedly carrying a Calico assault rifle. Grabbing the keys, he left and pulled Onipede's car into the courtyard. Abaz and Nedir Bey and four other men led Onipede down the stairs and forced him into the trunk. As Basheer Muhammad left to take care of another bit of muscle work, Abaz and Nedir Bey got in and drove the car to the security gate leading to the street, where they stopped and killed the engine. Pulling Onipede out, they proceeded to search the car.

It was then that Onipede saw the cop. "I saw two police cars with their lights, you know, on in the front on the adjacent side of the road," he testified. Onipede broke and ran.

"These young men are soldiers. You cannot fool these young men today. They were born with knowledge."
